Actor Vishal says he’d go to Vijay’s political rally uninvited: I’m a voter

Tamil actor Vishal, at a recent press interaction, said that he’d be interested in attending the first political rally of Thalapathy Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), which is scheduled to happen on October 27 in Tamil Nadu’s Vikravandi. He further added that he’d be interested to see what Vijay’s promises to the voters are. This is Vijay’s first-ever political rally ever since he established his political party.
At an event in Chennai, Vishal was asked if he would attend Vijay’s political rally. He said, “I’m a voter. As a voter, I am willing to see what he is going to promise and what his first speech would be. I’d stand with the crowd to see how Vijay is going to perform compared to the existing politicians. I don’t need an invitation for this. We can stand amidst the crowd and listen to him. We should see what he says as a voter. Why should we watch that on TV? If we see it in person, it’s a good thing.”
Vishal dismissed rumours of him joining TVK at present. He said, “It is not a question to be answered. Let TVK conduct its first political rally. Let Vijay take his first step. Let’s learn about his manifesto. There’s still time for that.”
The actor said he hasn’t thought about joining Vijay’s party at such a nascent stage. “I will cast my vote. I will look for the right candidate in the constituency. I could also be there in that list. We can’t say that right now,” he added.
Vishal also said that he is already a politician since he’s fulfilling the needs of the people.
On the work front, Vishal was last seen in director Hari’s Rathnam. The actor is now gearing up to make his directorial debut with Thupparivaalan 2, which is expected to go on floors next month. An announcement regarding the same is still awaited.
