WHITE BUFFALO Glass Sculpture IRA LUJAN Pueblo Taos Native American FREE SHIPPINGWhite inside with a clear outside layer; there is a very subtle golden aura about the horn area that is more obvious in the images than in person. The birth of a white buffalo is considered sacred or spiritually significant in several Native American tribes and is a sign that prayers are being heard, of hope, abundance, and a good future.
Signed on the bottom and dated 2004 (hard to read). Solid, weighs 13 ounces. Measures approximately 3.5 inches to top of hump, four inches long and 1.5 inches wide; stands well on its own.
Ira Lujan (Taos / Ohkay Owingeh (formerly San Juan) Pueblo , 1977- ) studied with Native American Indian glass artists Preston Singletary and Tony Jojola; he focuses on native themes in his art.
