    Description

    Vintage Greenstone Carving typical of the Inuit Art produced around the turn of the Century in Canada and what would be the United States.
    This is a very large piece weighing at least 50 lbs
    H.13" W. 12"
    Attached to 13" x 10" wooden plaque via screw drilled into base of walrus head.
    It is smooth finished very cool to the touch but it has scratches chips and pockmarks from mistreatment.
    Great artistic flair capturing a view of the walrus' head that might be seen by the carver.
