Vintage 1935 Gretsch Model 35 American Orchestra arch top hollow body acoustic

For your consideration is a 1935 Gretsch Model 35 archtop guitar. This one seems to be remarkably unique, we've never seen one quite like this.
Headstock has a few nicks and dings, but that would be expected from a 70 year old instrument. Fretboard looks tremendous...which is really saying something about the overall condition. The frets look a little too clean, which leads us to believe this may have been re-fretted at some point. However, the work is
remarkably
professional
and insanely clean. Doesn't appear to have a neck reset, and definitely does not need one. Body has plenty of finish checking, and a few slight cracks that appear to have been very solidly repaired. Biggest repair seems to be the gluing of a slight separation on the top of the guitar, where the two pieces of wood for the top meet. Very solid, but noticeable.
Guitar plays remarkably well, sounds rather mellow.
No case or gig bag.
