Up for your consideration is a rare1950's Kay, Harmony "Rope" Super Auditorium Acoustic Guitar. An absolutely incredible survivor for it's age. It's aged beautifully and has a fantastic golden sunburst Spruce top and maple sides and back. Solid wood and quite hefty built guitar. It's super solid, no breaks, cracks etc.Brazilian Rosewood fretboard in fantastic shape, original brass frets and bridge, saddle etc...super tight, well built, you can seriously feel the build and the sound is absolutely wonderful! It has a huge sound with tons of bass response and very pronounced highs with a very punchy, tight maple sound, loud guitar! Impressive quality, feels a great deal like my Gibson LG guitar! It has some wear on the headstock front and back, has some nicks and dings but has a lovely checking to the Spruce top, the back is almost flawless except one small spot! It has a plug for a cable and wiring to the plug for a pickup but I enjoyed it without a pickup but it has the option to be acoustic electric and can imagine it would sound great! It's been stored in my smoke free, climate controlled studio and it's in beautiful shape, just missing pickguard but has never bothered me. Incredible Kluson deluxe tuners and front load saddle and pulls from the back. Super tight and no issues. It's plays particularly well and has a huge ladder braced woody blues tone, great for country, folk, blues. I have absolutely loved this unit. It does not ship with a case but I will pack it extremely well with museum quality! It's an absolutely lovely rare guitar! Good luck and please check out my other vintage listings.
