The outside Brown leather is worn and brittle- expected for being from 1896. When the camera is opened- it's in great condition!  Gold lettering "PATD JULY 31 96" (1896). Rochester Camera Co. Rochester, NY. Includes many 4x5 plates. Super cool! Check out all the photos!!
Last one sold for 5k over 10 years ago, so this baby needs a new home!! Selling at a discount!! (Found the last Sale of this camera on WP that sold for 5k - 13 years ago- worth more now after 13 years- yes I did extensive research on this awesome camera from 1896).. Good deal! Willing to negotiate a bit. Needs a new home, as my Aunt passed who purchased it with us family, a long time ago.. a school teacher and an angel with a passion for antiques.
Kept in a nice bag and box, but the case is very brittle, but 100% kept the camera and supplies in great shape!! Definitely perfect for a camera collector or a museum piece! It's definitely a  HOT item! Rare piece of history here!
